The VMA's are known for their crazy over the top looks, so here are a few of our followers favourite's, from a poll on our Instagram.

1. Madonna 

Arguably, one of the most iconic outfits of all time. Madonna's all white and lace outfit is a fan favourite. A classic costume that is still being worn today 37 years after its carpet debut.

2. Miley Cyrus

Miley's outfits from the VMA's have shocked us through the years. Some of her most iconic being from the year she presented the award show. However, this more recent red carpet look from 2020 is, although see-through, slightly more reserved for the 'wrecking ball' singer.

3. Naomi Campbell

A simple yet memorable outfit from the VMA's in super model Naomi Campbell's white dress. The chiffon mini dress from 2004 accessorised with a headpiece and necklace has an understated elegance.

4. Lady Gaga

Gaga's meat dress is nothing less than iconic, Although misinterpreted as a stand against vegetarians, Gaga explain her dress was supposed to show that "if we don't fight for our rights, pretty soon we're going to have as much rights as the meat on our bones" - Lady Gaga

5. Miley Cyrus

Back again is Miley and her red carpet look from 2015. This was the year she hosted and wore 11 different outfits. All completely outrageous and completely amazing. Do you see what we meant when we said last year's outfit was reserved?

6. Lil' Kim

Made from a material traditionally for sari's Lil' Kims iconic purple jumpsuit with matching nipple pastie was a bold outfit. Well, it was 1999. Anything goes.

7. Pamela Anderson

The Baywatch actress wore sequin trousers, a white corset and a huge pink fluffy cowboy hat to the 1999 MTV VMA's. The outfit is so iconic that none other than Kim Kardashian recreated it for halloween.
